Forest Carbon Partnership Facility Program (Carbon Fund): Training and Rattan Creative Venture Development
Kampung Long Beliu, one of the villages receiving support from the Carbon Fund, is being carried out in collaboration with Pilar Indonesia. The program aims to utilize carbon funding effectively and efficiently, focusing on the development of rattan as a non-timber forest product (HHBK), given the abundant natural resources in Kampung Long Beliu. This initiative involves the formation of a Social Forestry Business Group (KUPS) under the management of the Village Forest Management Agency (LPHD), which will oversee the sustainable use and commercialization of the rattan product. Through this approach, the program seeks to promote economic development while supporting environmental conservation and sustainable forest management.

Inclusive Tourism Development in Lombok (GEDSI)
PILAR Indonesia is supporting tourism initiatives in Lombok to enhance skills and economic opportunities, particularly for women, in a region impacted by natural disasters and the COVID-19 pandemic. In collaboration with the Muda Bijak program, PILAR aims to empower young leaders, including women, to drive positive change. These efforts will create new opportunities for women, promote environmental sustainability, and preserve local culture.

Lantan Ecotourism Development: Training & Policy Development
Through a grant from the Australian Alumni Grant Scheme, Pilar Indonesia is working to develop Lantan village as a premier ecotourism destination. The project involves providing specialized training in ecotourism to youth and women’s groups, while engaging all relevant stakeholders—including local government, NGOs, and community members—to collectively transform Lantan into Lombok’s first ecotourism destination. By fostering collaboration and building local capacity, the initiative aims to create a sustainable, community-driven tourism model that promotes environmental conservation, cultural preservation, and economic empowerment for local communities.
